'Waterside Reflection' Available from Echo Beach Gallery
Greetings Friends!
How are you fairing during these colder months? I hope you are keeping safe and warm. I've really started to notice the quality of daylight improving on brighter days and some daffodils have started to bloom around our village.
Our family have embraced the winter as a time for rest and have enjoyed some really cosy and restful days at home. As well as some fun-filled, bustling and busy times with extended family.
We have also been lucky enough to enjoy some beautiful bright sunshine on some weekends, where we bundled ourselves up in warm clothes, filled our thermos flasks with steaming hot chocolate and marched across our glorious local beaches.
So far this year we've visited Woolacombe, Saunton and Crow Point. We made a fire at Crow with the sparkling water in front of us, had a sand art competition at Saunton (I won of course! ;) and made a dam in the stream at Woolacombe. It's moments like these that carry me through to the warmth of Spring.
I'm excited to share some of my plans with you for 2025! There are a number of events that I hope you will be able to join, so please take time to make yourself a drink and have your diaries at the ready.

This newsletter contains information about my upcoming:
workshops
exhibitions
and art retreats
Oil painting workshops
I've been a busy bee updating my webpage for my painting workshops!
There are lots of dates available so if this is something that interests you please head over to the page to secure your booking.
New for this year are my 2 hour techniques classes. I'm super excited for these as they will be a genuine time to play with oil paint (remember it's just paint!).
I will be sharing some of my own techniques but we will also be looking at how other artists apply their oils to create various effects.
As they are shorter classes it won't be about racing to get your painting finished, so they will be super fun and relaxed classes.
There may be scope for adding some more evening classes - if this is something you would like please reply to this email to let me know!
Coastal Art Retreats
Expertly hosted by Lonepine Retreats with gorgeous boutique accommodation Seaview Villa, our coastal art retreats provide space and support for you to really drop into creative flow.
I provide supportive painting tuition for all of the creative sessions, and Claudine prepares nourishing and delicious meals to keep our bellies full and our hearts content.
The retreat dates for this year are:
27, 28 & 29 June 2025 19, 20 & 21 August 2025
We have already received a number of enquires for the retreats so please contact Claudine today if the idea of a gastro food and painting retreat in beautiful Lynton and Lynmouth appeals to you! More information and bookings available here.
Art Exhibitions

I'm delighted to already have three exhibitions to be working towards this year.
They will be filled with paintings that capture magical moments on the coast. Painted with raw emotion, sweeping, energetic gestures and vibrant colours that sing from the canvas. I can't wait to share my artworks with you in person!
The Plough Arts Centre with Rising Tide Collective 29 March - 5 April
Solo Show Open Studios at Art Mash 9 - 11 May
Group Show at Art Mash 12-14 September
I will share more details with you nearer the time. The shows will have previews with wine of course!
Thank you as always for your support and for being here, it means the world to me.
Until next time

P.s. I have now sold out of one of my limited editions online and others only have one image left! Don't miss out - if there's a print you love (or your loved one will cherish for Valentines Day), browse my fine art prints today. xx
